I thought I’d just concentrate on a good news share. I queried Google and came across an article by Andy Corbley about solar energy and what the has been accomplished in Gujarat, India.
Gujarat has a canal system for fresh water that is used for farming and drinking. The canal has a significant evaporation of water when added up, as does all of the outdoor canal systems in the world. Well Gujarat constructed an experiment by building solar panels to cover to cover 750 meters, which is a little under “half a mile”. The experiment is a great success and now the State of California is studying the feasibility of doing it to cover its entire state.
The engineers and a study group from the University of California at Santa Cruz estimate that it would save the State approximately 63.5 billions of gallons of water each year and generate millions of kilowatt hours of clean green energy.
There are a lot of innovative, creative and inspirational thinkers in our world. Good ideas and the ability to implement them are everywhere on the plant.
Make it a great day!
